Here at Trinity, we believe that God has promised and really is doing something to us in Holy Baptism.  In Holy Baptism God delivers us from the forces of evil, puts our sinful self to death, gives us new birth, adopts us as children and makes us members of the body of Christ, the church. It is an event in which we believe God really, truly is doing something to us. In Holy Baptism, we are united with the events of God's saving action in the Bible, from creation to the resurrection of Jesus.

But Baptism is not simply a matter of a one-time event. The rite of Holy Baptism invites us into a life-time of living faith... of growing together as the people of God... of learning how it is that the promises of Baptism touch our every day existence and invite us into a life of loving service to God through service to others. In fact, we might say that the DAY of Baptism is just the first step in a lifetime of "walking wet."

    Baptism Request Form

To get on the church's calendar, please either fill out the on-line form below, or CLICK HERE to download a hard copy of our Baptismal Information Form to be filed with the church office ASAP.
    PLEASE NOTE:
    • Date availability for baptisms are generally pretty open, but need to be verified based on the church's master calendar and pastors' availability.
    • Instruction for Holy Baptism takes place approximately 45 minutes before the service--please make sure that you, your baptismal sponsors, and anyone else who will be taking part in your child's life of faith and growth can be present for that instruction time.
Any Sunday, providing there isn't another Baptism scheduled, is an option. Wednesdays (6:30pm) through the school year--September through May--are also options for Baptism.
Please note: while membership at TLC is not a requirement for Baptism, YOUR CHILD becomes a member of TLC through Baptism. We strongly recommend that you consider becoming a part of TLC through our Pathfinders ministry that provides an opportunity for adult inquiry into the Christian faith and the particular Lutheran way of following Jesus. (The pastors can answer any questions about that.)
