RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE BREAKFAST BAGS

Donations of items for Breakfast Bags are needed.  Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House can grab a Breakfast Bag as they go to appointments.  Items needed are:  breakfast bars/granola bars/muffins, fruit cups, juice boxes, crackers/cheese, crackers/peanut butter, yogurt or gogurt, paper lunch bags, & napkins.  Items can be left in the marked box in the Trinity Fellowship Hall.  Please have items there by October 14.

NEW MEMBER SUB SUPPER

Everyone is welcome!  The Fellowship Committee will provide bread, condiments, and beverages.  Suggestions for food to contribute are sandwich fixing’s (meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions), chips, salads and desserts.  Please come and meet our newest members at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 9.

 

PROGRESSIVE DINNER

"What in the world is a Progressive Dinner?  Participants are divided into different groups for each dinner course throughout the evening.  Appetizers at one house, main course at another, and all gathering again for dessert; and a crisp autumn day bonfire!  This is a wonderful night to meet new people, catch up with old friends, and enjoy great food, conversation and hospitality.  There is a signup sheet in the narthex.  You can either host one course, or just come to enjoy!!  Price is $15.00 per person.  Sign up by Sunday, September 28.  Please don't miss your chance to take part in this fun night!  Any further questions, please contact a Fellowship Committee member.

 

FALL HOTDISH & SALAD LUNCHEON

Do you have a favorite hot dish, or salad?  We’d like you to donate it to the Fall Hot Dish Luncheon.  Money raised from the luncheon benefit Lutheran World Relief, camp goers, and kids going to the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans.  Please call Eileen Frigard at 389.1707 and let her know what you will donate.  Monetary donations are always welcome.

2008 HONDURAS MISSION TRIP

On Sunday, October 19 during both the 8 & 10:30 services, there will be a presentation/slide show for all to see what the mission team did down in Honduras on their medical mission trip in February 2008.  We’d like to share our memories and photos with all of you.  Please join us.

 

ELCA MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GATHERING  11/22-11/23

This year we will dig into the Apostle’s Creed and learn more about what we Lutherans believe about God and how it impacts our daily life.  We will get to know other youth from the synod and learn more about one another.  Registration is due October 20th, get yours in today!

 2009 HONDURAN MISSION TRIPS

Guy Miller will be holding informational meetings at Trinity on Saturday, October 11, 9 a.m., and/or Sunday, October 12, 9:15 a.m. between services.  If you are considering participating in the 2009 trips please attend one of these sessions.  General information will be presented and handed out.  There will be time for questions.  Please contact Toni at the church office 389.2671, trinity@sherbtel.net,or Guy Miller, 633.0880, guy@biosecure.us, to indicate your preference at the meeting.  Trip dates include:  February 9-27, February 9-18 (Theological), February 18-27 (Medical Team), & March 3-12 (Worker Bee Team)
