Pastor Chris became the Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Princeton, Minnesota on August 15th, 2008. She is married to Steve Saari and they have two daughters, Winter and Sunday.
Pastor Chris did her undergraduate studies at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and graduated with a BA in International Relations and Spanish in 1993. She then moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a teacher and earned her masters degree in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She moved back to Minnesota in 1996 and taught 4th and 5th grade in the Roseville School District in Roseville and Falcon Heights Minnesota. She entered seminary after ten years of teaching, in 2004 and attended the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, earning her MDiv in 2008.
Pastor Chris and her family enjoy camping, biking and anything else having to do with being outside in God’s creation. They also enjoy spending time with family and friends in the Duluth and Minneapolis areas.
Senior Pastor, Reverend Martin R. Hancer

Rev. Marty Hancer became Trinity Lutheran’s Senior Pastor in September, 1997. Pastor Marty did his undergraduate work at the University of Minnesota and completed his Master of Divinity degree at Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary, St. Paul, MN. Pastor Marty interned at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and also served as Associate Pastor of First Lutheran Church, Brainerd, MN, prior to coming to Princeton.
Pastor Marty is married to Laurie, who works as a paraprofessional in the Princeton school district working with special needs children. They have two daughters: Amanda and Megan. His hobbies include golf, fishing, reading, camping with his family, and taking in the local school sports, music, and drama offerings.
