Meet our Staff
Pastor Martin Hancer
Pastor Marty has been serving Trinity since 1997. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota and received his Masters of Divinity from Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. His previous pastoral call was at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd where he served for over four years. Prior to his ordination, Pastor Marty worked for 10 years in youth ministry and spend 10 summers as Assistant Camp Director at Cathedral of the Pines Camp in Lutsen, Minnesota.
In his free time, you might find Pastor Marty on the golf course, in a fishing boat, camping with his family, or playing with various family and friends. Outside of his congregational duties, Pastor Marty currently serves on the boards of two local community organizations: Kinship Youth Mentoring and Meals Ala Car. He also is a member of the Youth Planning Team, Personnel Committee, and chairman of the Synod Assembly Team for our Northeastern Minnesota Synod.
Pastor Christie Manisto
Pastor Chris became the Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran on August 15th, 2008. He did her undergraduate studies in Moorhead, Minnesota and graduated with a BA in International Relations and Spanish in 1993. She then moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a teacher and earned her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She moved back to Minnesota in 1996 and taught fourth & fifth grade in the Roseville School District in Roseville and Falcon Heights, Minnesota. She entered seminary after ten years of teaching in 2004 and attended the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago earning her Masters of Divinity in 2008.
Pastor Chris and her family enjoy camping, biking and anything else having to do with being outside in God's creation. They also enjoy spending time with family and friends in the Duluth and Minneapolis areas.
